Exfoliating ProductsThere are many different types of exfoliating products for your skin. Some of them are: soaps, back scrubbers, face washes, body scrubs, creams, plus many others. These products help your skin to remove the dead outer layer and to reveal the new glowing skin underneath. You skin is constantly replacing itself and growing, and the dead skin cells should be removed to reduce blockage of pores and a dull looking complexion.Choosing the right products for you is as important as using them regularly. Proper care should be taken when deciding which exfoliating products are right for you. Most people have dry skin all over their body, which is completely natural as your skin needs to renew itself every 30 days or so. Some people have very delicate skin, while others can stand a rough abrasive exfoliation every single day. Sometimes it's all a matter of what your skin is used to. You should start slowly and gently until you know what your skin reacts to. |

Now, one might wonder why
does this skin remain on the
exterior surface, if its’ cells are already dead.
Well, the answer to that is even though the
skin cells per se are dead, they continue to languish on the exterior,
often
accompanied by unsightly blemishes. It takes as many as 2 to 4 weeks
for the
cells to shed themselves naturally. You have the choice of either
grinning and
baring it (rather literally!), or resorting to exfoliation.
Obviously, those who are
more conscious of their external
appearance – those who actually care about the way they look and
how they could
improve the same, do resort to exfoliation. Post exfoliation, it is as
though a
completely new self, a new persona emerges, which is youthful, radiant,
glowing
and absolutely afresh.
Now, when it comes to
exfoliation, you have the choice of
either using chemicals such as mild acids to remove the dead cells, or
you
could use every day, completely natural items. As logic will tell you,
a lot of
individuals prefer opting for natural items, that do not have too many
side
effects (not that the chemical ones definitively have any!). In this
article,
we explore the natural exfoliating
products which are quite likely to be found commonly in our homes.
Honey and Sea Salt
Two natural and very
common items which are quite likely to
be found in almost any home, are honey and sea salt, When combined
together in
suitable quantity, say about two tablespoons of honey and just about a
pinch of
sea salt, the resultant is an excellent exfoliating agent. Honey per se
is
already quite widely known to have very good antioxidant capabilities,
whereby
it is able to keep skin fresh and glowing, whenever the same is applied
on to
it. Sea salt on the other hand, has a natural coarseness to it, which
when
applied on to skin that has dead cells on the exterior, tends to remove
the latter
quite effectively. Thus, as would probably be obvious to you with
reasonable
ease, when combined together, the same form an excellent partnership in
fighting the dead cells on the surface of your skin.
Facial Masks
Facial masks of immensely
varied kinds, also serve as an
excellent exfoliating agents. Now, there are different kinds of facial
masks,
both natural as well as chemical. Even the chemical ones are usually an
intuitive blend of various other natural items as well. Diverse
off-the-shelf
facial masks serve the purpose of acting as exfoliating
products very well. Among the various natural items
that you will easily find as ingredients among facial masks, would be
walnut
extracts, cucumber, yogurt, oatmeal, banana, clay, orange peel and so
on. Invariably,
these are all put together very well, in such a manner that your skin
is able
to exfoliate itself perfectly.
Face Scrubs
You will also find a whole
host of facial scrubs that also do
the job of exfoliation very well. Take the case of microdermabrasion
cloths,
which when gently rubbed against the skin, do the job of exfoliating
the same,
very well. These scrubs are very easily available in the market, at
immensely
low costs.
Thus, as you can clearly
see, there
is a vast variety of natural exfoliating
products on the anvil. A bit of knowledge about exfoliating
products, combined with dollops of ingenuity and
creativity, should usually do the tric
